Wisconsin Track Club to Host Summer Series Meet at Warrior Stadium in Waunakee
WAUNAKEE, Wis. — The Wisconsin Track Club is bringing its passion for track and field to Waunakee! On June 26th, Warrior Stadium will host the club’s first Summer Series track meet of the season, welcoming athletes of all ages and abilities from around the region for an evening of community, competition, and fun.
Founded in 1991, the Wisconsin Track Club is a nonprofit organization based in Madison with a mission to foster a love for track and field and cross country in the community. While originally independent, the club is now a proud sport club at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Club athletes train and compete in NCAA Division III and NIRCA (National Intercollegiate Running Clubs of America) events across the Midwest.
Beyond collegiate competition, the Wisconsin Track Club hosts its annual Summer Track Series—a welcoming and inclusive series of meets open to the public.
“We’re excited to bring the Summer Series to Warrior Stadium for the first time,” said Heather Martens-Raffel, coach of Waunakee Cross Country teams. “It’s a great opportunity to build connections, promote fitness, and have fun on the track with runners and field athletes of all backgrounds.”
The Waunakee community is invited to attend, participate, or simply cheer on the athletes. Events are open to youth, adults, and masters competitors, with everything from sprints and distance races to field events available.
